Did you know that virtual worlds are great places to base nonprofits from all over the world? Indeed, there is an entire Nonprofit Commons in Second Life (est. 2007) dedicated to connecting nonprofits and helping them grow. CVL and its parent organization (New Media Arts, Inc.) have been part of the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life for years.
It is free to join, attend events–there is even free office space available!

About the Nonprofit resource Library
The Nonprofit Commons in Second Life has had a library for many years, and by 2018 it was ready for a makeover!
Re-designed and built by Bree Theodore (jodielandon in Second Life) and opened in December 2018, this library hosts a growing collection of resources relevant to nonprofits. This includes information about grant-seeking, managing volunteers, and many other “how-to” guides on the many aspects of running and participating in a nonprofit business.
